Tribute to James Vernon Fellers 1947-2011

James Vernon Fellers entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 28, 2011, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 1, 1947, Jim attended Columbia High School and The University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Jim was a founding partner of the property tax consulting firm of Fellers, Schewe, Scott, and Roberts, Inc., begun 20 years ago. He was also a founding partner in Radio Systems, Inc. prior to that.

The light of Christ was evident in all aspects of his life including an unwavering commitment to family and profession as well as his involvement in community and charitable causes such as the South Gwinnett Athletic Association, "Just" People, Inc., CURE Childhood Cancer, and St. Anna's Catholic Church in
Monroe, GA.   Click here to read his full story.

Welcome to South Gwinnett Athletic Association (SGAA).  Our multi-sport youth facility located in Snellville Georgia is a volunteer organization supporting the South Gwinnett Youth Program and providing programs for Baseball, Softball, Hockey, Basketball, Football, and Cheerleading.

South Gwinnett Park includes 10 baseball/softball fields, one football field/stadium, and a 40,000 square ft. indoor inline hockey facility known as the DUAL DECK HOCKEY ARENA & PRO SHOP.

The South Gwinnett Athletic Association was chartered as a non profit agency in July 1966. The park land to be known as the E.R. Snell/Gene Ford Youth Sports Complex was purchased and developed by it's membership over the next 40 years.  In July 2007, our facility became part of the Gwinnett County Parks system and today is known as South Gwinnett Park.

We are proud to be a community asset training boys and girls to play competitive sports. The SGAA Board of Directors supports fair play, discipline and teamwork among the youth while teaching observance of the rules and regulations, the strength of our program. We employ active involvement of the local community in the selection of our officials and directors placing activities of the league at the highest priority.

Make SGAA your choice for Team Sports.
