NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!

Our NEW entry level league where players play in sneakers so they can learn hockey basics in fun atmosphere! 

Beginning in Winter 2020, we will have a second group (generally returning mini-mite players) learning hockey skills in skates!!

Season: January - March
Practice/Scrimmages - Saturday mornings.  We will begin around 8:00 or 8:30.

Fee includes shirt for new players (and stick if needed)

• AMATEUR HOCKEY LEAGUE (AHL)  - For new players and those 9 & under, based on skill level.

INTERMEDIATE HOCKEY LEAGUE (IHL) For intermediate players ages 12 & under (through 5th grade), based on skill level. 

EVALUATIONS FOR THE WINTER SEASON WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Tuesday 12/10 & Thursday 12/12 @ 6:30 AM

Saturday 12/14 @ 10:30 AM

• Seasons are comprised of 10-12 practices with minimum of  8 games  and an end of season tournamnet
•  Practice are generally once per week .
• Games are usually played on Saturday.  Some weeknight games may take place, as necessary.
• The season is mostly in house, however SGAA may play  games against other Atlanta area teams with minimal travel needed.
• For these divisions players are evaluated and placed on teams and division based on age, skill, size and other factors, therefore they may play one level down or above their ages as skill is determined by staff.

NEW PLAYERS - $50 (Jersey included)

RETURNING PLAYERS - $140  (+$25 for SGAA jersey if needed)

MIDDLE SCHOOL – Grade 6-8  /   HIGH SCHOOL - Grades 9-12
*5th grade or 8th graders may play up at league discretion
For experienced competitive players as part of the Metro Atlanta Roller Hockey League (MARHL)

Season runs September – March 

Teams play once a month (min. of 2 games) plus weekly practice and an End of Season Tournament

Teams from South Gwinnett (SGAA) , Cherokee  (CHILL) Norcross (NRH)and McDonough (MYA) will be playing each other throughout the season with each association hosting a variety of games so travel is required

SGAA High School team is run by the Snellville FireAnts as part of our recreational hockey program.

SGAA INLINE HOCKEY IS PART OF  THE METRO ATLANTA ROLLER HOCKEY LEAGUE

As the landscape of local roller hockey shifts, all are adjusting to make it the best experience possible.Teams from South Gwinnett (SGAA) , Cherokee  (CHILL) Norcross (NRH)and McDonough (MYA) will be playing each other throughout the season with each association hosting a variety of games as follows: 

LOCATIONS

Norcross's rink  is a outdoor covered rink with flooring like SGAA. .It is locatated  at Pickneyville Park  at 4758 S Old Peachtree Rd, Norcross, GA 30071. Directions

CHILL's rink is an outdoor rink with smoothed concrete flooring.  The address is  7545 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188.  Directions

MYA's Rink is located at Avalon park 1068 Industrial Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253

CANCELLATIONS - In case of inclement weather. The hosting site will make the call. First notification  will be made on Friday evening possibility or cancellations. Final call to be made by 8:30 AM on Saturday to help those team traveling to site.  If delay is decided, it should be no more than one hour.
